Why I do What I Do

I love helping people to live their lives walking in the shoes of their most successful selves. Its my passion, my purpose and my mission in fact.... but it hasnt always been the case.

In fact just over 10 years ago my life was very, very different!

Bear with me while I briefly tell you the story of what happened to me and how I can help you as a result of what I've learnt (and continue to learn).

My Story

My Downfall

In December 2005 I went to rehab for 6 months because I was drinking myself to death.

At the end I was merely existing and the power of addiction had totally taken over. It was horrible, a living nightmare in fact for both myself and those closest to me.

The last few months saw me getting arrested, sectioned and hospitalised... all more than once and I had alcoholic psychosis which I cant even begin to describe.

Lets just say it was like being in a real-life horror movie.

And life was bad... REALLY bad!

You see the thing was I had a lot of pride and I didnt want to admit that...

a.) I had a problem and

b.) that I needed help

And this is the main issue most of us fall victim to.

We see 'asking for help' as a weakness... and we believe that we can and that we should be able to sort everything out by ourselves.

But we cant!

And the reality is that we all need help on some level.

In the end I did ask for help but only when I had hit my final rock bottom...

...and luckily I had a moment of clarity and I realised that doing what I was doing would kill me and quite soon and actually I didnt want to die.

My CHOICES were very simple!

Carry on doing what I was doing and I would die, or stop and live!

It sounds ridiculously simple when you put it like that, but when your decision making process is clouded with drink and you are living in a highly stressed state all the time then you make decisions influenced directly by them.

You might be thinking. 'What the hell has this got to do with me, I dont even drink!'

Well I didnt actaully have a 'drinking' problem, I had a 'thinking' problem.

And its your attitude, thinking and behaviour that keep you where you are in life or can take you where you want to go.

And where we get to in life is all down to the the CHOICES that we make.

Your best thinking got you to where you are now.

Consider that statement for a moment!

Are you where you want to be?

Probably not!

Well I can help you get there whether you just need a little guidance to 'nail it' and start living your most successful self everyday...

...or if you are miles off course despite doing 'all the right things' and really need some guidance!

My Saving Grace

Leading up to 'my downfall' I had been working in London in the Fashion Industry as a stylist. I was really good at what I did and was destined for big things. I was working for many of the big magazines and with people in the public eye... plus I was also lecturing at one of the top fashion colleges in the world.

To the outsider it appeared that I had made it, but I was a mess inside and crumbling fast... and one day I went from a functional to a dysfunctional drunk and then proceeded to lose everything including my sanity.

It was not a pretty sight or experience, believe me!

However I made a CHOICE to change.

I made a DECISION and I took ACTION.

And I have kept on doing that ever since and I have a very different life now!

I'm still the same person as I was in my drinking days and I'm still as obsessive complusive as I ever was...

...but I'm in CONTROL now rather than trying the control the world around me!

In fact I'm living my most 'successful' self as opposed to my most 'unsuccessful'...

...because I make much better choices and I learn from each one that I take.

Albert Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing something over and over again and expecting the same result.

Do you do this? Yo-yo dieting is one of the best examples.

My Most Successful Version

When I went to rehab I made a decision to change my life and I was committed to doing what ever it took. It was really hard someties but I listened to everthing that was said to me and I followed the suggestions that were given to me, even if they didnt make sense at the time.

And over time I built new habits and habits stick (good ones and bad ones).

I kept moving forward, one day at time and over 'time' my THINKING changed, my ATTITUDE changed and my BEHAVIOURS changed.

And now I'm so far removed from the version of myself that I was that its hard to even imagine that was me.

Yet without everything that has happened I wouldnt be sat here writing this for you!

I believe everything happens for a reason and that you have the capability to be anything and do anything that you want to in life and that with the right guidance you can live a life beyond your wildest dreams.

And I'm living proof that you can!

Ive spent the last 10 years working on myself mentally, physically and emotionally.

I've coached with some of the best fitness and mind-set coaches in the world and I have helped over a 1000 men and women, through my personal training services and bootcamps to live happier, healthier and more successful lives.

I'm 43 now and in great shape and I can help you to get into the BEST shape of your life on every level.

All you have to do is ask!

My Mission

Obesity, anorexia, alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling and a WHOLE load more extremes of behaviour are prevalent in society today and driving force behind them all is STRESS... extreme levels of stress in fact.

And its stress NOT the illness / problem / affliction or whatever you want to call it that kills the person!

And I know because it almost killed me... but it doesnt have to be like that!

I am 100% committed to helping as many men and women that I can, in particular stressed out professionals, with hugely busy and demanding work and family lives, to manage their mental, physical and emotional health through exercise, mind-set and lifestyle coaching so that they can live Happy, Productive, Fulfilled & Successful lives.

Fitness is NOT just physical, it’s mental and emotional too and without addressing all 3 you’ll end up back where your started.

And it’s my ultimate mission that Results Focused Fitness is the LAST solution you have to try in order to achieve the level of health, fitness, happiness & success you deserve.
